I'm from California. I have a two boys, a little girl, and a wonderful wife who runs marathons and speaks Italian.
How are you a "rookie?"
I was a Mormon missionary over a decade ago. When I completed my mission and returned home, people called me an "RM" -- this stands for "returned missionary."
Pretty soon though, I found that it really stood for "Rookie Mormon." I wanted to think I was really some sort of advanced Mormon because I had been teaching about my church for 2 years, but through a series of challenges in my personal life, I quickly found that I just needed to focus on the basics. One foot in front of the other, that sort of thing.
I don't think I'm better than non-Mormons. I don't believe I'm ahead of anybody else in line.
I'm just here to share what I know, hoping it will benefit others.
